I have uninstalled and installed three times, I've used ALT+Tab and made sure nothing was running. Other CD-ROMS I have run correctly. I have also checked the CD for damages and cleaned it to assure dust or prints were not the problem. The Learning Company Leap Ahead Kindergarten version 1.0 just doesn't want to work. Why?

Leap Ahead series were designed to run in Windows 3.1. The problem you're having is related to compatibility. All Windows 3.1 applications are using 16-bit mode which means that since XP is in 32, it will not be able to run the program.
